Your Digital Phone Service account includes one phone number (primary number) when you sign up. Virtual Phone Numbers are additional telephone numbers that can be used to receive incoming calls and will ring to your same phone (that is connected to your Phone Adapter.)

For example:

Let's say you live in Detroit and have a 313 area code number and your friend lives in LA and has a 310 area code number. You can select a virtual phone number with a 310 area code that rings to your 313 line. Your friend dials it as a local call and avoids long distance charges. Anytime someone calls your primary number or your virtual number, your phone will ring.
